As Head of Engineering (R&D), you will lead the development of SMD’s technical solutions, from design through to integration into our machines.
You will manage a multidisciplinary team, oversee R&D projects and ensure their successful delivery. You will supervise the design of complex systems and contribute to product innovation and continuous machine improvement.
This strategic position requires a strong on-site presence alongside the technical and production teams, with organizational flexibility depending on project requirements.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of SMD’s special-purpose machinery, from mechanical engineering through to manufacturing and commissioning.
Using SolidWorks, you will design mechanical parts and assemblies, and produce manufacturing drawings, dimensioned drawings, bills of materials and technical documentation. Working closely with the workshop, you will follow the manufacturing process and take part in the testing and fine-tuning of your designs on the machines.
This position requires a regular on-site presence, working closely with the technical and production teams to ensure effective coordination between design, manufacturing and commissioning.
Minimum 2 years of experience.
As an independent sales agent, you will actively contribute to the development of SMD within your assigned territory.
Your objective: expand SMD’s commercial presence among corrugated board manufacturers and converters.
Working autonomously, you will act as a true growth partner.
You will develop and manage a client portfolio, identify business opportunities, prospect within your territory, and analyze the local market and competition to adapt your sales strategy.
